It kept me guessing up until the very end. It took me a little while to understand how the pieces fit together, but Chokshi did a great job at using magical elements to develop and progress the narrative. The slow build up of the plot and how the Bridegroom and Azure were connected through Indigo was absolutely fantastic. The Last Tale of the Flower Bride was exactly my kind of magical weirdness! The writing here was so beautiful and I loved how Roshani Chokshi made use of a non-linear narrative to tell this story. As the house slowly reveals his wife’s secrets, the bridegroom will be forced to choose between reality and fantasy, even if doing so threatens to destroy their marriage.
